On a wet Friday evening our U13 team made the long trip south to Kilgarvan in their opening county league phase two game. Heavy rain made conditions tough for everyone and the game suffered as a result. Both teams played open hurling in a sporting manner. Our boys lead from early stages and would not give up their lead despite a Kenmare/Kilgarvan comeback towards the end.
Captain on the night was Tamatea Charlie. This young player is playing above his young age and gets stronger with every game, well done Tamatea.
Thank you to referee Muiris O’Sullivan who is always a pleasure to work with.
Next up is round two against Kilmoyley on next Tuesday evening.
